Instructions for use

How to apply Sorbact Compress

  1. Clean the wound and dry the surrounding skin.

  2. Person opening the inner packaging of a Sorbact Compress dressing.

Open the packaging and apply the Sorbact Compress without touching the dressing surface that will be in contact with the wound. The dressing can be unfolded and may overlap the wound margins if needed. Make sure that the product comes in direct contact with the complete wound surface to allow bacteria to bind to the dressing.

  3. Sorbact Compress dressing being placed on a leg wound.

If the dressing is cut, use clean scissors. Do not tear the dressing. Discard any unused dressing.

  4. Sorbact Compress dressing secured to the skin with a covering dressing.

Apply a secondary dressing appropriate for the exudate level such as an absorbent pad or gauze, and fixate.

  5. Sorbact Compress dressing secured to the skin with a covering dressing.

The dressing change frequency depends on the condition of the wound and the exudate level. The dressing should not be left in place for more than 7 days. Should the dressing adhere to the wound, moisten the dressing with water or saline solution to assist removal and to avoid disruption of the healing wound.

Caution! Do not use together with ointments and creams. Consult a healthcare professional if wound fails to improve or deteriorates or signs of infection appear such as red, warm, swollen or painful skin.
